What began as a curiosity about browser-based GPU processing has evolved into an experimental Alpha project. This photo editor is a “Proof of Concept” (PoC) exploring the synergy between Antigravity AI and manual WebGL development—proving that complex tools can be prototyped rapidly, even if they are still in their early stages of refinement.

Alpha Stage

Currently a living laboratory. Many features are experimental, focused more on exploring what’s possible in a browser rather than being a finished product.

AI-Assisted Prototyping

Using Antigravity AI as a technical sounding board to navigate complex shader math and React integration hurdles during the initial build.

Iterative Learning

A project defined by trial and error. Every filter and control is a result of learning how to manage GPU resources and state within the Astro ecosystem.

Experimental Core logic

The core of this editor is built on Custom GLSL Shaders, allowing for real-time manipulation directly on the GPU. While it lacks the polish of established software, it serves as a robust exercise in building high-performance web applications from the ground up.

“This is not about replacing professional tools, but about understanding the friction and flow between high-level AI prompts and low-level code implementation. It’s a journey into the ‘How’ of modern web graphics.”

The architecture utilizes an event-driven model to sync React state with WebGL uniforms, ensuring that even in its Alpha state, the interface remains responsive and reactive to user input.

Project Sandbox

WebGL Filter Stack

Direct GPU-based processing for Cyberpunk effects, chromatic aberration, and color grading without standard CPU overhead.

Face-API (WIP)

Experiments with AI-driven face analysis to target specific regions for smoothing or enhancements. Still very much a work-in-progress.

Live Histogram

Real-time spectral analysis of image data, calculated on-the-fly to provide visual feedback for exposure and color balance.

Manual Polish

Custom-built UI elements designed to provide a cohesive ‘Cyber’ aesthetic while navigating early-stage functionality issues.

AI + Human Synergy

This project serves as a clear benchmark for how AI can accelerate technical exploration:

  • Technical Catalyst: AI helped bridge the gap between concept and workable WebGL code.

  • Experimental Freedom: The speed of AI allowed for trying multiple filter approaches in hours.

  • PoC Validation: Proved the capability of modern browsers to handle heavy GPU tasks seamlessly.
